Started Shooting: First started shooting in 2008 and in 2018 Tye joined the Calgary Rifle and Pistol Club

Advice for newcomers to the sport: Read all the literature you can get your hands on as early as possible to skip the entire stage of fixing bad habits.

Best advice received: Every shot is its own match, unrelated to the previous and next.

Favourite Memory: The weakness in his knees after learning he got the Paris quota spot. 

Hobbies: Everything besides shooting and working has been on hold since 2019.

Fun Fact: Tye grew up playing hockey for over a decade, and practiced powerlifting through post-secondary. Both helped with balance and stability before ever getting into competitive shooting.

Tye is also on the Development Team for his 2nd event - Men’s 10m Air Rifle.
